I am super excited that our Boudoir photo from one of our photo session is featured in Best Health Magazine! Our client Vi Phan, the owner of OhKuoi jewelry store on Granville St., was interviewed by Best Health Magazine and shared her experience of her Boudoir Session with us and her compelling story. Most of the people think what we do is to pretty up girls and take sexy photos of them. Little do they know, we actually do quite a bit coaching on how to use your body gestures and embrace your body the way it is. Most of our clients leave our studio with feeling confident, sexy and even feeling empowered! And I get a lot of clients telling me that they would go home practice some of the poses I taught them and it made them feel SEXY! So if you are still not sure about the idea of having your sexy photos taken, think twice! Come on out to our French Couture Loft and give it a try!
This is Vi’s story:
VI PHAN, 33
For this Vancouver business owner and sinle mother of a five-year-old boy, the photo shoot was a gift to herself to help recover her confidence. “My husband cheated on me for more than three years. Typical story: I was the last person to know. It magnified my insecurities, and I was at the lowest point in my life – underweight and with emotional scars. Then last year a friend showed me her boudoir pictures, and I decided to do it; I needed to honestly embrace myself. I was nervous, but excited, too. I was so self-conscious of my breasts, butt and thighs, but Ellen Ho, the photographer, helped me focus on my positive parts. (And now I know modeling isn’t easy; some positions were hard to hold!) Seeing the photos, I was overwhelmed – beyond surprised. They captured the real essence of me, and I felt an aceeptance of myself. It was empowering. I display some in my bedroom and keep the rest in my album for personal viewing. They’re my daily reminders of the strength and peace I’ve made with my mind and body.”
