Mark and Jen’s Wedding at God’s Mountain Estate, Penticton

Last summer I had a pleasure to photographed a destination wedding at Burrowing Owl Winery in Okanagan and I discovered this little heaven – God’s Mountain Estate (see my trip to God’s Mountain last year and photos of Sunday dinner hosted by Joy Road Catering at God’s Mountain here).  I was so excited and so thrilled when Mark and Jen contacted me and told me that they will be having their wedding at God’s Mountain and I will be able to photograph the wedding!! I absolutely have fallen in love with this place!!  It is such a gorgeous property that is surrounded by vineyards, lake and mountains. Lots of collected antiques filled in their french-country style rooms.  It’s really the most amazing place to go and especially have weddings!  Another thing that excited me was that they had Joy Road Catering to cater their dinner reception.  I had the pleasure to attend one of their Sunday dinner last year and have fallen in love with the food they cook!!!  Everything they use is local and organic.  Not only they look good, they taste good, you can feel the love in the food! How amazing is that?!!

Here are some highlights from this unique wedding.

The roofless room!  Love it so much!

Gorgeous!!!!!! Love the green and purple with the skin tone in these photos! They compliment each other so well~

A little gift from Mark when Jen is getting ready.

Purple is the theme color of the wedding and lavender is one of the flowers they used at the wedding.  They smell so good!

There are tones of fruits on the trees that you can just pick out and eat!

Another unique thing about this wedding is that that have Angela – a Buddist marriage commissioner, for their ceremony.

I love how everything is so simple, raw and uniquely display.

Makes me hungry just looking at these photos

The wedding was held outdoor right besides the vineyard, lake, mountain and breath-taking views.  I felt like I was somewhere in the countryside of Europe

There are quite a few pets roaming around the property including a beautiful white horse!! They had a very talented musician – Ari Neufeld playing music through out the dinner.  Love his voice and love how he plays all the instrument all by himself at the same time!

These photos are just spectacular !! The roofless room looks amazing. I was drooling over all of your detail shots. You really just let the moment speak for itself with your images. They are all just such natural moments. I love stalking your blog and look forward to what you post next :)

WOW! I am literally blown away by just how fabulous you are. This is my first time looking at your work, and I have to say that you are a new source of inspiration for me….it’s my second year doing weddings and it’s great to find others work to inspire you, especially when they are local. I will be doing Kane & Tania’s wedding in Mexico City next year; I believe Kane is a friend of your bf?

You have a new blog stalker, that’s for sure….can’t wait to see more of your work:)

HI Alyssa, the wedding was in July at Okanagan. It’s usually pretty hot (about 25 – 30 degree Celsius) there during summer but we encounter a small storm just a day before! I am so glad the weather turned out so good on the wedding day. :)
